An e-cigarette retailer insists the product is known to help smokers who have the intention to quit smoking. E-Cig Trading director Allen Mr. Mojo said: “It works just like a nicotine patch and nicotine gum which is to give user the nicotine fix. “But, there’s more to smoking than simply getting the nicotine fix. There is a certain fixation about smoking: How you hold the cigarette, the puffing and seeing the smoke appearing out of your mouth. “The e-cigarette offers the same smoking experience: You hold it like a cigarette, you puff it as if you do a cigarette, and you will see ‘smoke’ coming out of your mouth like a cigarette. With the exception that it’s not a smoke, it’s vapour.”
Mr. Mojo said some of his customers have were able to stop smoking 8 weeks after switching to the titan pcc kit. “Once they get used to pcc starter kits, they get uncomfortable with the smell of standard cigarette fumes. So, they’ll stop smoking the regular cigarette for good. Following that, they switched towards the low- nicotine cartridge and eventually they will stop needing the nicotine fix.”
Mr. Mojo explained time come to stop smoking differs from one customer to a different. “Smokers know smoking is bad for health. But, it’s not the nicotine making smoking harmful. Nicotine is much like caffeine to a coffee drinker: It’s addictive. The e-cigarette is definitely an alternative for individuals who require the nicotine fix with minimal harm to themselves and people around them.”
The battery-powered, non-flammable device claims to give a smoking experience with no danger of fire, flame, tar, carbon monoxide along with other harmful substances found inside a regular cigarette. Rather than smoke, these devices releases vapour, which contains vaporised nicotine and it is delivered right to the blood stream via the lungs, giving the smoker an immediate fix.
It’s also claimed the odourless vapour allows the smoker to smoke in a closed-environment without causing discomfort to others in the same room. One e-cigarette user, Philip Oon, said he switched to the e-cigarette because his wife doesn’t permit him to smoke indoors and would scold him if he is doing. “It took me awhile to get used to it and i would smoke up to two cartridges each day. Now, I’ve managed to reduce it to one cartridge each day. One cartridge would cost me RM3 also it saves me RM7 everyday as i often used to smoke a 20-cigarette pack each day.”
